Morocco’s Prime Minister Calls for Urgent Reopening of Algerian Border

The Head of Government, Saadeddine El Othmani, described Moroccan-Algerian relations as better compared to the past, during a ftour organized in honor of several journalists.
While Moroccan diplomacy has always preferred to remain discreet about the events currently unfolding in Algeria, the Moroccan Prime Minister did not fail to give his personal opinion on the relations between the two neighbors as well as the priority issues.
According to El Othmani, relations between the two countries can only improve, especially since the former Algerian regime has always been hostile to Morocco, believing that the latter will likely find points of agreement with the new authorities of the neighboring country.
The priority for the new Algerian government, after the parliamentary and presidential elections, would be to open the borders between the two neighboring countries, estimated the Head of Government, insisting that Algeria needs this solution more than Morocco.
