Morocco-Algeria Border Reopening Signals Potential Diplomatic Thaw

For several months, Moroccan-Algerian relations have been going through important transition phases. These changes could herald a new era and the imminent opening of the Morocco-Algeria borders.
Relations between the two countries are likely to return to normal, after the appointment of the new Algerian President and the end of the political deadlock in the country, the Akhbarona website indicates.
This hypothesis was confirmed by the recent reaction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which firmly rejected the remarks of the President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises, Salaheddine Mezouar.
By describing his statements as irresponsible and thoughtless, the Ministry confirms the willingness of the Moroccan authorities not to disrupt relations between the two neighboring countries.
On the other side of the border, several political and associative actors are calling for an end to the conflict and the opening of the Morocco-Algeria borders, which have remained closed for 25 years.
