Morocco’s Prime Minister Akhannouch Prepares Major Cabinet Reshuffle

In Morocco, Aziz Akhannouch is reportedly preparing to reshuffle the government. Which ministers are concerned by this adjustment?
"At the request of King Mohammed VI," Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch "is preparing a major change in the government team," which would be effective before the end of August, reports Jeune Afrique, adding that two ministers from the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) are on the list of departures. They are Abdellatif Ouahbi, Minister of Justice, who is also the president of the PAM, and Abdellatif Miraoui, Minister of Higher Education.

According to the pan-African weekly, a "discreet meeting" took place on August 5 between Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch and the King’s adviser, Fouad Ali Himma, who is also a former PAM leader. This adjustment required the latter’s trip to Paris. The subject was also discussed between him and the sovereign, who is visiting his sick mother.
