Morocco’s Political Parties Gear Up for Election Season with Key Transfers

As the electoral deadlines are fast approaching, it is the vigil of arms within the political parties. The market for political transhumance will be very lively. The RNI of Aziz Akhannouch seems better equipped to take full advantage of this "winter transfer window of political parties".
The advent of the legislative, regional and municipal elections is accelerating the repositioning within the political formations. Commonly referred to as the "winter transfer window of political parties", the phenomenon should experience greater fervor in the coming months, reports Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
According to the daily, the party of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) of the Minister of Agriculture, Aziz Akhannouch, is better equipped to acquire the best elements of this transfer window. Indeed, for some time now, this formation has been imposing itself as the preferred landing point for influential politicians, among whom we can cite the MP of the Popular Movement (MP), Haj Simo. Relying on its sources, the same media announces the imminent arrival of the president of the Municipal Council of Ksar el Kébir, within the party of the Dove.
On the other hand, the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) led by Abdellatif Ouahbi, is announced as the political formation that will emerge from this winter transfer window, more unwell than ever. In the Souss region in particular, the departure of several of its executives is announced. The latter intend to get off the Tractor to offer the Dove, which, it seems, will ensure them victory in the next electoral deadlines. This is how Karim Achengli, president of the Agadir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, slammed the door of the PAM to liven up the electoral game in the ranks of the RNI. Following him, several presidents of municipal councils in the Souss region are announced on the starting line, supports the same source.
Like the PAM, Istiqlal will also see some of its important members leave to join the RNI. The wave of departures that is being observed will not spare the Party of Justice and Development (PJD) of the Head of Government Saâd Eddine El Othmani who will have to prepare to record significant defections in its ranks.
