Morocco Plans $16 Million State-of-the-Art Football Training Center in Casablanca

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) is working on the implementation of a project to build a Federal Football Training Center in Casablanca. The National Agency for Public Facilities has just launched an architectural competition.
The Football Development Program in Morocco is progressing. A federal football training center in Casablanca will soon be built on a 12-hectare site with a built-up area of about 16,000 m2 in Lahraouiyine, in the Province of Médiouna, Casablanca-Settat region, reports Challenge. Its budget is estimated at 160 million Dirhams excluding taxes.
The future mega training center will have two main entrances, one for students, parents, visitors and trainers, and the other for delivery services; parking areas arranged within the site to meet the needs of all users, with a dedicated parking lot for visitors and administrative staff; but also several sports fields, including two natural grass, one synthetic turf, one hybrid turf, as well as a warm-up field for goalkeepers. It is also planned to develop two multi-purpose fields, a beach soccer field, a covered multi-purpose hall and a semi-Olympic indoor pool. Energy-efficient home automation devices will also be installed to ensure efficient maintenance of the green spaces.
The project has not yet entered its active phase. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), the project owner, and the National Agency for Public Facilities have recently launched an architectural competition.
