Morocco Pavilion Draws Investors at Japan-Africa Business Expo

At the "Japan Africa Business Expo", the Moroccan pavilion is the focus of attention on the sidelines of the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 7). This exhibition has met with some success among Japanese businessmen interested in investing in Morocco and Africa.

The Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development (AMDIE) has achieved a feat in Morocco, with its pavilion set up in partnership with the Kingdom’s Embassy in Japan. According to 2m.ma, it was able to inform visitors about the business climate in Morocco and the investment opportunities in the promising sectors of renewable energy, new information and communication technologies, tourism, logistics and agriculture.

Its participation testifies to Morocco’s determination to strengthen its positioning with the Land of the Rising Sun and to prospect for partnership and investment opportunities, it is specified.

Present in Japan as part of TICAD to represent King Mohammed VI, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nasser Bourita, visited the stands of the Moroccan pavilion where he inquired about the information services presented to its visitors.

For the pavilion manager, Moutaz El Alami of AMDIE, this pavilion aims to provide comprehensive information to Japanese companies on the investment opportunities offered by the Kingdom in various sectors of activity.

The same source reports that on this occasion, AMDIE representatives held an open meeting for several Japanese operators to inform them about investment opportunities in Morocco and the support measures.

At the end of these exchanges, several Japanese businessmen expressed the wish to invest in Morocco, notably because of its strategic position as a country at the crossroads of two continents.
