Morocco’s Passport Ranks 79th Globally, 2nd Strongest in Maghreb Region

The Moroccan passport ranks 79th in the world in the annual ranking of the most powerful passports in the world in 2020. It is the second most powerful passport in the Maghreb.
According to this ranking by the British firm Henley & Partners, the Moroccan passport ranks 79th out of 109, allowing Moroccans to travel to 69 destinations without a visa.
The kingdom’s passport surpasses the Algerian passport (92nd in the world with 52 destinations) and ranks behind the Tunisian passport (74th in the world with 69 destinations). As for the Mauritanian passport, it ranks 84th in the world and offers its citizens 59 visa-free destinations.
The Japanese passport tops the ranking with 191 destinations that its holder can visit without a visa.
