Morocco’s Passport Ranks 79th Globally, Remains 2nd Strongest in Maghreb

The Moroccan passport ranks 79th in the annual ranking of the most powerful passports in the world in 2021. It retains its position as the second most powerful passport in the Maghreb.
According to this ranking by the British firm Henley & Partners, the Moroccan passport is ranked 79th out of 110 worldwide, allowing Moroccans to travel to 64 destinations without a visa.
The kingdom’s passport is far ahead of the Algerian passport (92nd worldwide with 51 destinations) and ranks behind the Tunisian passport (74th worldwide with 71 destinations). As for the Mauritanian passport, it is ranked 84th worldwide and allows its citizens to travel without a visa to 59 countries.
The Japanese passport remains the most powerful in the world and offers the possibility of traveling to 191 countries without a visa. It is followed by Singapore (2nd worldwide with 190 destinations) and Germany (3rd worldwide with 189 destinations).
