Morocco: A passionate settling of scores turns into a tragedy

The judicial police of the city put an end to the flight of the main suspect and his alleged accomplice, just a few hours after the events. This rapid intervention made it possible to elucidate the circumstances of the death of a young man, born in 1996, whose death caused a strong emotion.

The drama unfolded on Wednesday evening on Avenue Hassan II. An altercation between the victim and his aggressor quickly degenerated into a highly violent physical confrontation. According to the first elements, the young man would have received a fatal blow to the head, probably inflicted with a stone, before succumbing to his injuries after being urgently transferred to the provincial hospital.

The immediate mobilization of the security brigades and the field investigations made it possible to locate the fugitives. According to informed sources, the motive for the crime would be linked to a dispute concerning the young woman arrested alongside the alleged murderer, turning a private dispute into a homicide.

The two suspects were taken into custody under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office. The justice system will now have to determine precisely the degree of involvement of each in this deadly assault before their appearance before the court to answer for their actions.
