Morocco Outpaces France in COVID-19 Vaccination Efforts, French Doctor Claims

Morocco, "an underdeveloped country", "is vaccinating twice as fast as France," said with astonishment the French doctor, Dr. Laurent Alexandre, during a television appearance.
"If we had been told five years ago that Morocco would be vaccinating for a disease, twice as fast as France, we would not have believed it, and yet that is the reality," said Laurent Alexandre. These remarks, although honoring Morocco, were deemed "condescending" by Internet users who did not appreciate the fact that the doctor had described the kingdom as an "underdeveloped country".
In an ironic tone, Dr. Alexandre also asked his Twitter subscribers to vote for or against "sending Jean Castex on an internship" to Morocco "to learn how to vaccinate quickly and get out of the vaccination Waterloo".
More than 4 million people have already been vaccinated in Morocco. According to the WHO, the kingdom is among the top 10 countries that have vaccinated the most against Covid-19.
