Morocco’s ONCF Launches "Khidmat Al Qorb" Train Ticket Service, Expanding Accessibility

The National Railway Office (ONCF) will launch a new ticket sales service on Monday, October 12. "Khidmat Al Qorb" is the name of this new sales channel that will allow easy purchase of train tickets close to home.
The "Khidmat Al Qorb" service will gradually extend to the 3,000 agencies of these partners through a partnership with "Chaabi Cash" and "Tasshilat", ONCF informed in a press release. This first phase of the "ONCF sales development plan with partners will soon be reinforced by other multi-service sales networks, namely Wafa Cash, Barid Cash, Cash Plus and many others, the press release states.
ONCF is also launching mobile payment in several stations. Customers with an m-wallet can pay for their tickets using this new dematerialized and contactless payment method. This new strategy aims to accelerate digitalization.
The new sales outlets are added to the network of sales outlets at the stations and the commercial website www.oncf-voyages.com. This service is part of "a customer support strategy implemented by the Office throughout the Covid-19 health crisis," the same source points out.
In addition, ONCF will readjust its transportation offer on the main lines of the rail network starting Monday, October 12. The Safi-Benguerir line will also be reopened on the same day.
