2,000 DH. This is the amount allocated to employees declared to the CNSS, on temporary work stoppage due to the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. This is for the month of February 2019 and covering the period from March 15 to June 30, 2020, without prejudice to the benefit of benefits related to compulsory health insurance and family allowances for employees under the insertion contract and fishermen on temporary work stoppage declared to the CNSS.

The granting of this allowance was decided, after the instructions of King Mohammed VI within the framework of the special coronavirus fund and consultations at the level of the economic monitoring committee. It aims to support workers so that they can cope with the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The beneficiary employees must be the subject of a sworn declaration by their employers to the CNSS, in order to certify the work stoppage, whether total or partial due to the coronavirus, specifies a press release from the CVE. Employees who have voluntarily left their jobs are not eligible for the allowance.

The General Inspectorate of Finance will carry out an audit of the operations carried out by the CNSS as part of the implementation of the granting of this allowance. And any fraud detected will be severely punished. It should be recalled that the coverage of the expenses for upgrading the medical system and supporting the Moroccan economy and its actors is ensured by the Special COVID-19 Fund created for this purpose.
