Morocco National Team to Debut New Puma Jerseys in September, Continues with Adidas for Now

While awaiting the availability of the new collection scheduled for September 2020, the Atlas Lions will have to continue to wear the three-stripe brand, nearly three months after the termination of the contract with Adidas. This situation of discomfort can be justified by the very short delivery times, according to a source close to the equipment manufacturer, Puma.
Despite the reservations made against Adidas’ equipment and which led to the termination of the contract with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), the Atlas Lions will still have to wear these jerseys for the next two matches against Libya and Gabon in October. And the reason is the relatively short delivery time.
In three months, the equipment manufacturer Puma estimates that it will not be able to meet the expectations of the Federation and the supporters. "We only signed a contract with the FRMF in mid-August. It was impossible for us to provide a complete package during the international break," reports a source close to Puma’s Marketing Department to Hespress. According to the same source, the designers, who are at work at Puma, are in the design phase.
At the FRMF level, the tone is different. It justifies this delay by the absence of the complete equipment package. According to the same media, Puma will be able to resolve this problem as soon as possible, particularly for the next official match of the Atlas Lions, scheduled for the beginning of November, against Mauritania as part of the 2021 CAN qualifiers in Cameroon.
"To benefit from a customized design, the FRMF will have to wait until next summer. It will therefore be necessary to wait until September 2020, the launch time of the future collection," reassures the same source.
