Morocco’s National Security Directorate Provides Financial Aid to Officers for Medical Treatments

True to its tradition, Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of the DGSN-DGST pole, grants exceptional financial support to police officers and employees facing costly medical treatments for serious illnesses.
20,000 DH. This is the exceptional financial support that 269 police officers and employees will benefit from. A way for the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) to alleviate the financial burdens related to expensive treatments for illnesses they or their relatives suffer from. The number of employees who benefited from this financial support was 85 in 2021 and 126 in 2022.
In addition to this gesture, DGSN employees and their dependents also benefit from various medical services provided by the Health Services Inspectorate of the National Security, which oversees a set of central and decentralized services spread across the national territory, the Radiology and Medical Analysis Center of Rabat, as well as various regional centers, which aim to ensure optimal access to care and quality health coverage.

According to Dr. Ilham Saoudi, senior police commissioner and occupational physician in charge of the medical benefits service within the Health Services Inspectorate, the requests for care (various medical services) made by officials and their dependents have seen a considerable increase this year, reaching 436,351 consultations and interventions covering several specialties, including general medicine (89,383 services), specialized medicine (4,279), occupational medicine (236,740) and dental medicine (6,567).
