Morocco’s National Security Directorate Announces Six Key Regional Appointments

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has made new appointments within the institution, both at the regional and local levels. These promotions announced concern this time Marrakech, Agadir, El Aïoun Sidi Mellouk and Kariat Ba Mohamed.
Another series of appointments made by the Director General of the DGSN, Abdellatif Hammouchi, the third of its kind this year, reports the daily Al Ahdath Al Maghribia specifying that these appointments are part of the creation of a new dynamic concerning the human resources of the National Security.
The objective according to the DGSN press release is to be able to rely on skills whose police experience is proven and who are likely to best assume the new missions that will be entrusted to them. These missions consist first and foremost in ensuring the security of the citizen and his property, but also in effectively participating in the improvement of the essential and specialized training of the elements of the National Security.
These latest appointments, made on Thursday by the Director General of National Security, Abdellatif Hammouchi, number six, namely: the positions of deputy head of the Sidi Youssef Ben Ali region, head of a police department in the city of Marrakech, as well as two heads of anti-gang brigades under the wilayas of Marrakech and Agadir, the newspaper indicates.
The same source specifies that the other appointments concern the positions of urban chief appointed to the regional security commission of El Aïoun Sidi Mellouk, and head of the traffic team of the regional security commission of Kariat Ba Mohamed.
