Morocco’s National Police Force Grows to 78,000, Including Nearly 6,000 Women Officers

The General Directorate of National Security announced that it has a staff of 78,146 agents this year, including 5,895 women, distributed among the uniformed and civilian ranks with an average age of 39 at the national level.
In reviewing its activities over the past year, the DGSN discussed its human resources, highlighting the quality of the elements who ensure the daily security of the country, citizens and property.
According to the department, this year was marked by the strengthening of police services with new elements through the organization of six (06) external competitions for the recruitment of 8,214 police officers, including 95 chief commissioners, 120 commissioners, 490 police officers, 70 peace officers and 2,250 police inspectors and 5,189 police constables.
In terms of training, the opening of the new school in Tangier has made it possible to continue the protocols that combine compliance with the preventive measures required by the state of health emergency on the one hand and the preservation of the quality of basic and specialized training on the other hand, recalls the DGSN.
In addition, the promotion commission is working to examine the files of 18,921 officials registered on the promotion tables for this year.
