Morocco named the most attractive nation on the African continent

According to the ranking of the Rebrand Africa organization, the Kingdom outperforms traditional powers such as Egypt, South Africa, or Nigeria. This distinction is based on nine strict criteria, evaluating in particular the attractiveness of investments, diplomatic openness, and "the ability to host major events".

Tourism is the main driver of this attractiveness with a historic influx of 19.8 million visitors this year. The organization of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in six cities has served as a continental showcase. This tournament, described as a successful "real logistical test" by the organizers, generated more than $55 million in revenue, paving the way for the co-hosting of the 2030 World Cup.

The national influence is also based on companies acting as "extraordinary ambassadors". On the logistics side, the Tanger Med port has crossed the 11 million container mark, consolidating its role as a global hub in synergy with the Royal Air Maroc air hub.

This strategy of influence extends to vital sectors with OCP in agro-industry, the Attijariwafa Bank network in 27 countries, and Maroc Telecom’s 81 million subscribers. A multi-sectoral dominance that is redrawing the map of African economic sovereignty and portends new dynamics of cooperation and leadership at the continental scale.
