Morocco’s Moulay Ismail University Plans New Medical School in Errachidia

The Board of Directors of Moulay Ismail University (UMI) in Meknes wants to open a medical school in Errachidia.
Meeting recently, the Board adopted two projects to create a medical and pharmacy school in Errachidia, and a National Higher School of Agri-Food Industries and Biotechnology in Meknes.
In addition to this decision, the Board also decided to transform the multidisciplinary faculty of Errachidia into two university institutions, namely a Faculty of Letters, Languages and Arts, and a Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences.
Furthermore, the same Board of Directors had approved, a few days earlier, the creation of new higher education institutions. Among these are the National School of Commerce and Management (ENCG), temporarily located at the Higher School of Technology in Meknes pending the construction of its headquarters in El Hajeb, the National Institute of Applied Sciences of Meknes and the Faculty of Dental Medicine.
