Morocco Modernizes Driving Tests with Digital Exam System

Morocco is digitalizing the practical exams for obtaining driving licenses. This progress is the result of the scientific and technical research partnership on new technologies between NARSA and the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P).
This partnership is part of the implementation of NARSA’s action program for the 2020-2022 period, particularly the strategic axes relating to openness to new technologies, the encouragement of scientific research and the development of expertise. It aims to ensure the traceability of an objective, transparent and fair assessment of the acquisition of knowledge and skills by candidates for the practical driving license exam, which will thus gain in credibility.
"This collaboration represents a major turning point in the process of reform and upgrading of the driving instruction sector, particularly the practical exams for obtaining the driving license, and perfectly reflects the values carried by NARSA in terms of modernization, digitalization and contribution to the improvement of the quality of services provided to users and road safety conditions in our country," the two parties are pleased to say.
The studies, design, realization, as well as the development and testing of the entire technical system are the complementary stages of this contract, indicates the same source, stressing that this scientific and technical collaboration should lead to the creation of a digitization kit integrated into the examination vehicles, allowing to objectively evaluate the candidates for the driving license in a real driving situation.
