Morocco’s Mbarek Boussoufa Unharmed in Minor Car Accident Before AFCON Departure
Mbarek Boussoufa had an accident in Marrakech, shortly before his departure for Egypt, as part of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). A simple collision and he is not at fault. It will have no impact on the African competition.
It would be a motorcycle, whose driver did not respect the right of way, which would have entered the car where the Atlas Lion was. This happened on Monday afternoon, and the matter was settled amicably.
Indeed, it was obvious that the motorcyclist was at fault; the two parties were able to reach an agreement, without any problems, especially since no injuries were recorded. It should be noted that Boussoufa was in the car, accompanied by his brother.
The national team was to leave Morocco the next day, that is to say yesterday, Tuesday, June 18, in order to join Egypt, to compete in the 2019 CAN. It will take place from June 21 to July 19. It is in its 32nd edition. For the record, the two friendly matches played by Morocco to prepare for it ended in poor results: two defeats. Against Gambia, the "Atlas Lions" lost 1-0 and against Zambia, 3-2.
