Morocco’s National Team Intensifies Training for Africa Cup of Nations

There are only 15 days left before the start of the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt and the Moroccan players are expected to deliver. A competition without good results will undoubtedly, and for a long time, lower their popularity with Moroccans.
To better prepare for these matches, the Atlas Lions have been in a concentration camp for a few days. Yesterday, two closed-door sessions were held at the Maâmora National Football Center. All the summoned players, that is to say the 27, were present at these training sessions.
This Friday, another session must take place, still behind closed doors, which means that neither the media nor even selected supporters will be able to attend or talk to the players.
This preparation camp is taking place at the request of national coach Hervé Renard in view of the friendly matches that the Moroccans must play. The match against Gambia will indeed take place on June 12, while the match against Zambia is scheduled for June 16. These two matches will take place at the Grand Stade de Marrakech.
To recall, 24 African selections are expected at this 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN). Egypt, the host country, finds itself in the same group as the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda and Zimbabwe. The Atlas Lions will have to get rid of Namibia, South Africa and Côte d’Ivoire. And it promises to be tough!
