Morocco’s Marrakech and Ouarzazate to Star in French TV5 Documentary Series

Morocco continues to attract the greatest directors who choose this destination for the filming of their productions. This is the case of the famous French director, Eric Bacos, who has chosen Marrakech and Ouarzazate, among others, to shoot, from October 22 to 24, documentaries on Morocco as part of his "Horizons-Flavors" series, produced by Ananda Pictures, for the international French-speaking television channel, TV5 Monde.
Morocco seems to possess all the tourist and landscape assets to give beauty to cinematographic productions, among others. That is why for a long time, it has been coveted by renowned filmmakers.
According to Maroc diplomatique, directors Eric Bacos and Yoann Périé have chosen as filming locations for their documentary the Artisanal Complex, which brings together all the flagship products of the destination, the medina of Marrakech, the foundouks, restaurants on Jemaa El Fna square, the Koutoubia, the Majorelle Garden and the artists’ residence, "Al Maqam" in Tahanaout.
Emblematic places steeped in history, according to the site, which also points out that the filming team also chose to visit the Kasbah Aït Ben Haddou, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, and the Fint oasis in the province of Ouarzazate.
Even if this documentary is a journey of discovery of the Kingdom, it will also shed light on the craftsmen in order to discover their know-how and will allow Eric Bacos’ team to meet the people who bring the Moroccan tradition to life through music, cuisine and art.
"Horizons-flavors" is a series of documentaries, which highlights the richness, the magic and the beauty of the most beautiful regions of the world through their natural wonders and historical monuments, their craft riches as well as their amazing landscapes, in order to encourage their preservation in the face of the evolution of the world.
