’House of the Dragon’ May Film in Morocco, Revisiting ’Game of Thrones’ Locations

The "Game of Thrones" universe could return to Morocco for the filming of part of "House of the dragon".
It is the production company, Warner Media, that announced the launch of "House of the dragon", a new series in the "Game of Thrones" universe. This was during the presentation of its new streaming platform, HBO Max.
According to its co-creator, George R.R. Martin, author of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" saga, the new series will be filmed in some of the locations used for "Games of Thrones", such as Morocco, Spain, Scotland and Croatia.
In 2017, certain cities of the Kingdom, in particular Essaouira, had been chosen as filming locations for the "Games of Thrones" series. The scenes took place in Essos, the land of origin of the Targaryens.
"House of the Dragon" takes place 300 years earlier and tells the story and rise of the Targaryen, one of the clans of the medieval and fantasy series.
