Biblical Epic "Genesis" Set to Resume Filming in Morocco’s "Hollywood" Post-Pandemic

The Brazilian television network RecordTv, and its partner in Casablanca, have announced the resumption of filming of the series "Genesis" in Ouarzazate. This, as soon as Morocco opens its borders and allows flights to and from its territory.
The filming of the series had been suspended "after the disruptions caused by the spread of covid-19". The UOL news portal stressed that the choice was made for the city of Ouarzazate by Record to make this highly anticipated series in Brazil, because it is renowned as the "Moroccan Hollywood" and one of the main tourist sites in the southern region of Morocco, reports lopinion.ma.
The region has had the merit of hosting the filming of several world-famous series and films such as "Gladiator", "Alexander", "Asterix and Obelix", "Babel", "The Mummy", "Prince of Persia", "Kingdom of Heaven", and of course "Game of Thrones".
"Genesis", according to the forecasts made, will be composed of 150 episodes and brings together more than 200 actors, including Zé Carlos Machado, Igor Rickli, Adriana Garambone, Guilherme Berenguer, Carlo Porto, Juliana Boller, André Bankoff, Antonia Morais and Caio Manhente.
