Morocco to Mandate Vaccine Pass, Restricting Travel and Services for Unvaccinated

Morocco is preparing to make the vaccine pass mandatory. Bad news for unvaccinated people who will no longer be able to leave the country or obtain official documents.
The authorities are not backing down from their strategies to mobilize the entire population around massive vaccination against Covid-19 in order to achieve herd immunity. According to Hespress, some unvaccinated people have reported difficulties in obtaining certain official documents in some Wilayas and prefectures.
Similarly, others who do not have a vaccine pass have not been able to obtain an authorization to leave the territory, even though they have missions abroad. Others, still, have not been able to obtain their residence certificate or the possibility of renewing their passport or CNIE due to lack of a vaccine pass.
According to a local authority contacted by Hespress, an authority agent confirmed, on condition of anonymity, that "unvaccinated people cannot leave Moroccan territory, nor obtain a residence certificate, nor even have the possibility of renewing their passport or national identity card". So many restrictions that have never been officially announced.
The obligation of the vaccine pass in public places and for non-essential activities (cinema, gyms, restaurants...), on the other hand, is in the process of being implemented by the competent authorities. The announcement is imminent, according to several sources, and depends only on logistical measures.
