Morocco Launches Scholarship Program for Orphaned Children of Finance Ministry Staff

The children of deceased civil servants of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Public Administration Reform will now be supported in their education. This is the decision of the National Democratic Union of Finance (SNDF), affiliated with the Moroccan Union of Labor (UMT).
This initiative of the Ministry of Finance is different from that implemented by other social welfare institutions, reports Hespress. It should be implemented during this school year.
According to the SNDF, this grant takes into account the children of the deceased who have been gone since 2016. They will benefit from this financial support each school season over a period of 10 months at a rate of 1,000 DH per month for primary school students and 1,200 DH per month for middle school students. As for high school students, they will be supported up to 1,500 DH per month.
Like the children of deceased civil servants, the union proposes to support up to 30% of the airfare for the flights of civil servants in the external services working in various remote areas, and within the limit of 4 round trips per year.
In addition, the other actors in the institution will benefit from a 30% reduction in the price of travel tickets on CTM buses, throughout the national territory, from December 1, 2020.
