Morocco’s King Mohammed VI Pledges $100 Million for Earthquake Relief Fund

A donation of one billion dirhams to the Special Fund to manage the effects of the earthquake that occurred in Morocco a week ago was made by King Mohammed VI.
"On the proposal of its main shareholder HM King Mohammed VI, the Board of Directors of Al Mada has decided to grant a financial contribution to the special fund for the management of the effects of the earthquake that hit the Kingdom of Morocco, in the form of a donation of 1 billion dirhams," says a statement from Al Mada.
"This donation will be paid into the special account created under Royal High Instructions on September 11, 2023 to collect solidarity initiatives in the face of this unprecedented natural disaster," it is specified.
