French TV Host Praises Morocco’s King for Earthquake Response

French TV host of Tunisian origin Cyril Hanouna praised King Mohammed VI and hailed the efforts made following the powerful and devastating earthquake that shook Morocco.
"I think they (the Moroccans) are lucky to have a king who takes charge, and who is, I find, incredibly courageous," said Cyril Hanouna, who was the guest of the first episode of the season of "C médiatique" on France 5. He was referring to the efforts made by King Mohammed VI to manage the September 8 earthquake. The sovereign presided over working sessions devoted to examining the situation on the ground, mobilized the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) and donated one billion dirhams to assist the victims.
He also visited the Marrakech University Hospital to be at the bedside of the earthquake victims and to donate his blood. The Moroccans naturally joined the Sovereign’s efforts. This is evidenced by the many testimonies that the host received as part of the special edition of "TPMP" broadcast on September 11. This led Cyril Hanouna to say that "the Moroccans have an incredible love for their king." He will add: there is, "in Morocco, an incredible solidarity. They (the Moroccans) are behind the institutions and the king. They stick together."
The day after the earthquake, the presenter had tweeted to express his solidarity with Morocco. "Usually my Sunday night tweets are always joyful but tonight I’m so sad for Morocco and the Moroccans. We feel so helpless and powerless in the face of what’s happening," he had written on X on September 10.
