Morocco’s King Joins World Cup Celebrations in Rabat After Historic Win

King Mohammed VI was spotted on Tuesday evening in the streets of Rabat, where he was celebrating Morocco’s victory and qualification for the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar.
The sovereign was wearing a Morocco jersey and waving a flag from his car, surrounded by bodyguards and followed by many fans.
Earlier in the day, King Mohammed VI had a telephone conversation with the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Faouzi Lekjaa, and the national coach, Walid Regragui, to congratulate them on their victory over Spain.
Morocco secured their ticket to the quarter-finals on Tuesday by beating Spain in a penalty shootout (3-0).
