Morocco Kicks Off World Cup 2026 Qualifiers with 2-0 Win Over Tanzania

Morocco won (0-2) Tuesday on the pitch of Tanzania for its first match in the race for qualification for the 2026 World Cup. Enough to delight the coach of the Atlas Lions, Walid Regragui.
"It’s not just the climate that can worry about this game, Tanzania has a very good team. It’s not easy to beat them at home. We did the job, as they say. We know that everyone is waiting for us. It’s always good to start with a win in qualifiers, especially away and before the 2023 CAN. Congratulations to my players who fought. They approach each game as if it were the World Cup," he said on the Arryadia channel.
The coach, a semi-finalist at the 2022 World Cup, also mentioned the penalty missed by Moroccan right-back Achraf Hakimi early in the game. "It’s not easy to miss a penalty in the first
