Morocco’s New Israeli Spy Satellite Raises Concerns in Spain

Last year, Morocco acquired from the Israeli company Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) the spy satellite Ofek 13. This acquisition seems to be causing concerns in Spain.
Morocco bought, at the end of last year for around one billion dollars, this Israeli satellite dedicated to intelligence missions, to replace the Mohammed VI-A and Mohammed VI-B satellites. The Ofek 13 satellite, the most advanced in its category, "will allow the collection of information in all weather and visibility conditions, thus improving strategic intelligence," said Boaz Levy, CEO of the Israeli company IAI.
The acquisition of this system by Morocco, which has strengthened and modernized its army over the past ten years, will undoubtedly change the balance of power in its favor in the Strait of Gibraltar, analyzes La Razon.
