Morocco will not participate in the 2024 Copa America finals. This is the result of a statement by an official of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) to the SNRTnews website. Contrary to information published by some social media platforms, the FRMF has not received any official invitation from the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) regarding the participation of the Atlas Lions in the competition, he explained.
The Copa America will be held from June 20 to July 16, 2024 in 14 different stadiums in the United States. It will feature the participation of 16 teams from South America, North America and CONCACAF. In 2020, non-continental countries such as Qatar and Australia were invited to participate in this continental competition that takes place alternately every two, three or four years since the first edition in 1916.
