Morocco Invests 2.4 Billion Dirhams to Upgrade Fez-Meknes Road Network

As part of the strengthening of the road network in the Fez region, six partnership agreements with an investment of more than 2.4 billion Dh were signed on Friday. The ceremony was chaired by the Minister of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water, Abdelkader Amara.
These agreements relating to the realization of the priority projects of the 2020-2022 regional development program on the road plan, concern the twinning of national road No. 8 connecting Fez to Taounate, with an investment of 1.56 billion Dh, including a contribution from the Region of 485 million Dh.
Also on the program, the twinning of the Fez-Sidi Khiar interchange section on the same road, the construction of the link between El Hajeb and the Ain Taoujdate motorway interchange on Regional 716, the improvement of Regional Road 504 between Sefrou, Ribat El Khair and Bouiblane.
The other twinning is that of the Imouzzer-Ifrane section on the RN8 and the redevelopment of strategic road axes at the level of the prefecture of Meknes.
