Morocco Imposes 10-Day Quarantine for Returning Citizens, Even if Vaccinated

Morocco now imposes a quarantine on its citizens, even vaccinated, returning from abroad after an authorized trip. This lasts ten days in one of the hotel facilities designated by the authorities.
It has been declared since May 8 that Moroccan passengers with a sworn statement, a negative PCR test less than 48 hours old, an exit permit from the Moroccan national territory issued by the Ministry of the Interior and proof of a confirmed reservation in one of the 6 hotels reserved by the government, are authorized to return to Morocco. But, according to an airport source, a Moroccan traveler, vaccinated or not, must present all these documents mentioned upon arrival in Morocco, but must also remain in quarantine for a few days, reports Challenge, stressing that the measure is worrying.

However, the countries with which Morocco has not suspended its flights such as Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Mauritania, the United States, Qatar, Dubai, Canada, Saudi Arabia, are not affected by this decision. On the other hand, any person coming from the countries with which Morocco has suspended its flights will be placed in quarantine once on Moroccan soil, in addition to presenting the required documents.
To recall, the state of emergency is maintained until July 10 next. But, pending the opinion of the DGAC, Morocco could resume its air traffic from June 11 next. Moreover, several airlines including Transavia and Royal Air Maroc have addressed this issue on social networks. In this sense, the national airline has stated that "flights from June 11 are confirmed subject to the reopening of airspace".
