UAE Expands ’Green List’: Morocco Among 12 Countries Exempt from Quarantine

Morocco is one of the eligible countries for entry without quarantine, called "green" countries, in the United Arab Emirates. In total, 12 countries are on the updated green list as of Monday, March 22.
According to the new green list, travelers arriving from 12 destinations will be exempt from mandatory quarantine measures after landing in the emirate. Upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport, they must however undergo PCR tests. These countries are: Australia, Bhutan, Brunei, China, Greenland, Hong Kong (Chinese Special Administrative Region), Iceland, Mauritius, Morocco, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and Singapore.
The new green list is an update of the list made public on March 8. The Ministry of Tourism specifies that this list applies only to the countries from which passengers have arrived in the United Arab Emirates, not to their citizenship. Inclusion on the list is subject to strict health and safety criteria to ensure the well-being of the United Arab Emirates community, it added.
Travelers whose countries are not on the updated green list will be subject to a mandatory quarantine period.
