Morocco to Implement Civil Servant Pay Raise as Part of New Social Pact

The unions have finally shown wisdom in accepting the government’s proposals regarding the increase in salaries for civil servants and employees.
To this end, the Head of Government will preside over a ceremony with the social partners, before the beginning of May, for the signing of the Social Pact. "Now the way is clear for the government, the unions and the representatives of the CGEM to sign this long-awaited Pact next week," announces a union member.
Salaries will be increased by 400 to 500 dirhams, depending on the scales, and the minimum wage (SMIG) by 10%. These increases will be staggered over a period of three years.
In addition, family allowances for the first three children will increase from 200 dhs to 300 dhs per child.
