Morocco to Host 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations After Successful 2022 Tournament

The Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has decided to call on Morocco again to host the next edition of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. The success of the last edition was an argument in favor of such a decision.
Meeting on the sidelines of its 44th General Assembly, the CAF Executive Committee felt that given the success of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, it would be ideal to entrust it with the next edition. "The best AFCON in history" had declared the CAF President, Patrice Motsepe, describing the organization of the 2022 edition. This is not to mention the record number of supporters who traveled for the semi-final and final to support the Moroccan national team.
The other factor that speaks in favor of Morocco is the quality of the infrastructure, the hospitality and the conditions in which the participating teams were housed. From 12 countries, the number of participants could increase to 16. CAF is seriously considering this possibility.
