Morocco Health Official Intervenes to Ensure Elderly Woman Receives Free Surgery
The beautiful gesture of the Delegate of the Ministry of Public Health in Rhamna towards a Moroccan woman in difficulty earned him many laudatory comments on social networks. His professional attitude was widely praised by Internet users who abundantly shared his photo on Facebook.
Having crossed the path of an ambulance taking an elderly woman to a clinic, the Delegate asked for more information about her case, writes Hibapress.
The woman, who needed surgery, had been referred by the doctors of the public hospital to a private clinic in Marrakech. Upon reading the patient’s file, the provincial official asked the ambulance driver to return the lady to the hospital.
Given the woman’s precarious financial situation, the Delegate insisted that she undergo the operation at the hospital, knowing that the cost of the service in the private sector is much more expensive. The same source adds that the woman, who was finally admitted to the hospital, underwent a successful surgical operation.
