Morocco Gears Up for Crucial World Cup Qualifier Against Sudan

The Moroccan national team is actively preparing for the return match against Sudan which will take place this Friday, November 12 at the Rabat stadium, as part of the fifth round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
In a gathering at the Mohammed VI complex in Maamoura since November 8, all the Atlas Lions summoned for this return match against Sudan, with the exception of Youssef Maleh and Youssef En-Nesyri who have not yet fully recovered from their injuries, held a two-hour training session on Wednesday. On this occasion, Mohamed Chibi, the last player to be called up by Vahid Halilhodzic, expressed his pride in participating in these last qualifying matches for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
According to the program set up by the national coach, the players must train at least once a day, except on Friday, November 12, when they will play the match against Sudan in Rabat. The Atlas Lions will have to play this match without Youssef En-Nesyri, forced to rest for another three good months. He should withdraw from the 2022 CAN with Morocco.
At the top of Group I with 12 points, Morocco is already qualified for the World Cup 2022 play-offs. After the match against Sudan on Friday, they will face Guinea next Tuesday in Casablanca.
