Morocco Calls Up Zakaria Aboukhlal for World Cup Qualifiers as En-Nesyri Replacement

Moroccan player Zakaria Aboukhlal has been called up as reinforcement to compensate for the absence of Youssef En-nesyri who is suffering from a muscle tear. The player born of a Libyan father and a Moroccan mother will therefore be present for the matches against Sudan and Guinea.
The winger of AZ Alkmaar is currently in the training camp with the Atlas Lions at the Mohammed VI football complex in Maamoura. He has opted for Morocco since November 2020 over the Netherlands and Libya.
For these last two matches played by the Atlas Lions, as part of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, Vahid Halilhodzic has also called up the FAR Rabat lateral, Mohamed Chibi. They join the first 23 players called up.
Already qualified for the playoff match, Morocco is the leader of its group with 12 points ahead of Guinea Bissau (4 points), Guinea Conakry (3 points) and Sudan (2 points).
