Morocco’s Fuel Prices Surge Again, Nearing 15 Dirhams per Liter

After a few weeks of decline, pump prices are rising again and are approaching 15 DH per liter.
In Rabat on Tuesday, the brands are showing 14.39 dirhams for diesel, while that of gasoline has reached 14.99 dirhams. Enough to seriously worry motorists.
In this context, transporters are still facing the government’s refusal to resort to fuel price compensation to mitigate the effects of the crisis.
According to the Delegate Minister Fouzi Lekjaa, this measure would cost the State an additional 60 billion DH, adding that a return to this system would mean the end of the State’s investments in priority projects such as social protection and education.
