Morocco: French Embassy to Streamline Schengen Visa Process in Rabat and Casablanca

The services of the French embassy in Morocco want to make certain adjustments to the procedure for processing visa applications starting next fall.
Visa application processing will be done exclusively in the cities of Rabat and Casablanca in the coming days, reports LesEco.ma. To this end, the French embassy will be hiring staff.
This decision means that processing will no longer take place in other cities where delays were noted due to lack of staff. As for the submission of visa applications, it will still be done through the TLS Contact services.
With this new system, visa applications will be digitized. The advantage is that Schengen visa applicants will no longer have to go to Casablanca or Rabat to submit their files.
"We are aware of the long waits that some Moroccans applying for a visa are experiencing, but I can assure you that we are taking the issue very seriously. The letters from visa applicants are read very carefully and this new system will allow us to process applications much faster, as there will no longer be understaffing. In any case, much less than before," says a source close to the French embassy.
