Morocco’s Football Federation Debates Future of National Team Coach Ahead of World Cup

Will Vahid Halilhodzic leave the head of the Atlas Lions? The question was again on the agenda of a meeting held on Tuesday at the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).
Will the Franco-Bosnian coach, pushed towards the exit by some Moroccans, be reappointed by Fouzi Lekjaa? The press release sanctioning the meeting of the body did not provide any answer on this subject.
However, it can be read in the note, the members of the executive committee were unanimous: "it is imperative to create a calm and conducive atmosphere around the national team preparing to compete in the 2022 World Cup".
Heavily criticized for months for his choices and his management of the group, Halilhodzic should soon be informed of his fate, especially 4 months before the start of the World Cup in Qatar. Let’s remember that Morocco will face Croatia in their first group match, before challenging Belgium and finally Canada.
