Morocco’s First Public Halal Slaughterhouse Opens in Casablanca

Casablanca now has a public halal slaughterhouse. Following an audit carried out by the Moroccan Institute of Standardization (IMANOR), "The Slaughterhouses of Casablanca" has just obtained its label, making it the first public halal red meat slaughterhouse in the kingdom.
This brand, which concerns slaughtering services and cutting room products, will allow the establishment to better establish itself in the Moroccan and international halal market in full expansion.
"The halal label awarded by IMANOR will give the Casablanca Slaughterhouses a nationally recognized international standing, allowing customers to enjoy the right of use and assert the halal character of all products supplied by the Slaughterhouses." This recognition came at the end of an evaluation process conducted by the said institute.
IMANOR has issued its certificate of conformity to the Moroccan standard NM08.0.800 indicating the requirements for halal foods. These establishments, already approved by the National Office of Food Safety (ONSSA) since 2016, are also ISO 22,000 certified for the 5th consecutive year since 2017 and ISO 9001 certified for the 2nd consecutive year since 2020.
