Morocco's Finance Ministry Invests 2.6 Million Dirhams in Amazigh and English Language Training

The Ministry of Economy and Finance wants to strengthen the skills of its executives in the Amazigh language and professional English. An international call for tenders amounting to approximately 2.6 million (2,592,000) dirhams has been launched for this purpose.

According to the specifications, a first training session will be devoted to Amazigh language training, and a second to professional English. The Amazigh language training will be carried out with a provisional budget of 864,000 dirhams. It is part of the implementation of the Royal High Directives on strengthening the official status of the Amazigh language. It aims to promote the use of this language in the administration and to facilitate communication with users and taxpayers.

The Amazigh language training includes three levels: the first for non-native speakers of the language, the second for intermediates, and the third for advanced speakers in administrative communication. Participants will learn to read and write "Tifinagh" characters, and to write administrative documents, which will allow them to carry out their missions with increased efficiency.

As for the professional English training, it will be provided with a budget of 1.728 million dirhams. It reflects the ministry’s desire to strengthen the policy of openness to the outside world and to confirm the strategic importance of this language as a key communication tool on a global scale. This training aims to enable the ministry’s executives to improve their skills in writing official documents and actively participating in meetings and negotiations in English with international partners and institutions.

The English training will also include three levels: the intermediate level to improve basic communication in a professional context, the advanced level to develop fluent communication in the fields of business and finance, and the mastery level which aims to achieve a professional level allowing to interact with international institutions with full confidence.
