Morocco’s Postal Service to Integrate Amazigh Language in Services

The Barid Al-Maghrib Group intends to integrate the Amazigh language into its services. In this sense, it has signed a partnership agreement with the Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture (IRCAM).
This agreement was signed by Ahmed Boukous, Rector of the Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture and Amin Benjelloun Touimi, Director General of the Barid Al-Maghrib Group, on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at the IRCAM headquarters in Rabat. It establishes a partnership agreement that sets the content and modalities of the cooperation between the two institutions with the aim of integrating the Amazigh language within the Barid Al-Maghrib Group, specifies a press release. It also covers translation, training, communication and documentation.
"The signing of this agreement constitutes a general framework of cooperation between the two institutions and materializes their common will to contribute to the implementation of the official status of the Amazigh language, in accordance with Article 5 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Morocco and the provisions of Organic Law No. 26-16," the press release concludes.
