Morocco Faces Must-Win World Cup Match Against Canada to Advance

The coach of the Moroccan national football team said on Wednesday at the press conference that Morocco is playing a decisive match this Thursday against Canada. The Atlas Lions want to dribble all the predictions and qualify for the second round of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
It is with Bilal El Khanouss that Walid Regragui took part in the traditional pre-match press conference. He measures the stakes and knows that this Thursday, Morocco has no right to make a mistake. For the coach, the fact of playing against a Canadian team that has nothing more to lose because it is disqualified, makes this match even more difficult. This match is a "final for us," stresses the coach.
Despite the pressure of this match, Walid Regragui remains optimistic and confident. "We are going to play to win. It would be a big mistake if we played for a draw," stresses the coach. "We will implement the same plans. We will face a team that wants to achieve its first victory in the history of the World Cup and that will be very liberated," he added.
He is counting on the supporters to boost the morale of the players, but also on the presence of their families, a strategy that, according to him, "works well".
