Morocco Faces Malawi in Final Africa Cup Qualifier; New Players Expected to Debut

Morocco’s last match in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers is today against the Malawi team. This match will be broadcast live on Moroccan channels.
This match is of no consequence for the Atlas Lions, as they are already qualified, will allow coach Hervé Renard to field new players including the Moroccan-Dutch Oussama Idrissi who decided a few weeks ago to join Morocco.
The Moroccan players arrived yesterday at Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe for this match which will be held at Bingu National Stadium around 3pm, Moroccan time.
Here is the list of called-up players. The final list will be known in the late morning:
• Goalkeepers: Mounir El Kajoui (Malaga, Spain), Ahmad Reda Tagnaouti (Wydad de Casablanca, Morocco)
• Defenders: El Hajjam Oualid (Amiens SC, France), Fouad Chafik (Dijon, France), Badr Banoun (Raja de Casablanca), Abdelkrim Baadi (Hassania d’Agadir, Morocco), Yunis Abdelhamid (Stade de Reims).
• Midfielders: Youssef Aït Bennasser (St-Etienne, France), Sofiane Amrabet (Club Bruges, Belgium), Anuar Tuhami (Valladolid, Spain), Mehdi Bourabia (Sassuolo, Italy), Walid El Karti (Wydad de Casablanca, Morocco), Abdelilah Hafidi (Raja de Casablanca, Morocco).
• Forwards: Ayoub El Kaâbi (Hebei China Fortune FC, China), Rachid Alioui (Nîmes, France), Oussama Idrissi (AZ Alkmaar, Netherlands), Ismail El Haddad (Wydad de Casablanca, Morocco), Zakaria Hadraf (Raja de Casablanca).
