Morocco Faces Egypt in Olympic Football Bronze Medal Match

The Olympic adventure of the Atlas Cubs has ended in the semi-finals. Beaten by Spain (1-2) last Monday at the Vélodrome in Marseille, the Moroccans will play the third-place match against Egypt this Thursday at 4pm (Moroccan time) at the Beaujoire stadium in Nantes.
The protégés of Tarik Sektioui had nevertheless opened the scoring in the first half thanks to a penalty converted by Soufiane Rahimi. But the Spaniards turned the situation around in the second half, thanks to goals from Fermin Lopez and Juanlu Sanchez.
Despite this disappointment, the national coach called on his players to remobilize to win the bronze medal. "We will learn the lessons from this defeat and give everything to finish on the podium," he said.
This Morocco-Egypt clash promises to be hot, the two countries having a historical rivalry in football to the advantage of Morocco.
