Morocco Eyes World Cup Last 16: Qualification Scenarios for Atlas Lions

Second in group F after their victory against Belgium, Morocco can qualify for the round of 16 as early as Thursday against Canada even with a draw. Here are the different possible scenarios for the Atlas Lions.
The Atlas Lions have 4 points after two games in this tough group. The national team can then qualify in the event of a draw against Canada. Here are the different scenarios in the standings, which depend on Croatia-Belgium, the other match in group F.
The Atlas Lions will qualify if they just draw against Canada. In case of defeat, Morocco will qualify if Croatia beats Belgium. If Croatia and Belgium draw, the second qualification will be played between Morocco and Belgium who will be level on points. Advantage for Morocco who have a +2 goal difference. In this case, Morocco qualifies even if they lose against Canada, provided they lose by a maximum of 2 goals.
If Belgium beats Croatia, Belgium will move up to 6 points, Croatia will remain at 4 points, with a positive goal difference (currently it is +4 goals). That of Morocco is currently 2 goals. Morocco will qualify in this case, if they beat Canada, if they draw or if they lose by a small margin while Croatia loses heavily.
To avoid all these calculations, Walid Regragui’s protégés will have to imperatively beat Canada, already eliminated or draw. Remember that the two group matches will be played next Thursday at the same time (5pm).
